Japanese consulate sydney police certificate

Police Certificate Application 9:30am – 11:30am 2:00pm – 3:30pm. At the appointment you will be required to fill in forms and also you will have your finger prints taken. After we have collected all this information, the forms will be signed and authenticated.


Can I open a Japanese police certificate? How long does it take to get a police clearance certificate? Do police certificates need visa reciprocity?

This document certifies whether the applicant has had any criminal convictions in Japan and is written in Japanese , English, French, German and Spanish. Processing time is approximately 2-months. Police certificates are only issued for certain legal purposes such as visas or teacher registration. If the seal is broken, the certificate is no longer valid.

I am living and working in Toronto but I lived one year in Japan in the past, so I will need a PC from Japan. However, the Consulate General of Japan in Toronto requires an official request letter from CIC to get a police certificate. We will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications. Now I received information letter from IRCC saying that I have days to upload Japanese police certificate.

You must take your documents to the Embassy or Consulate in the Jurisdiction where they were ‘notorized’, not ‘authenticated’. For example, if your documents are notarized in Queensland and authenticated in DFAT’s office in Sydney , they should be authenticated in the Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane and not the Consulate General in Sydney.
