Letter to step son on graduation day

It’s something you fall into. I give you the gift of freedom. This letter was written the day before my son ’s high school graduation ceremony , which was this past weekend.


Tomorrow afternoon you are going stand in an auditorium with a thousand other kids your age. To My Son, You came into our lives that January day , all wrinkled and full of hope. You smile laughed and took in your world.


Sight by sight, memory by memory. All the years come suddenly to this moment and I am prou I am thankful, I am emotional, I am nostalgic. I looked into your eyes and saw all my hopes and dreams come alive in you. When I heard the news of your graduation I felt it’s my achievement. It could be graduation from high school, college or university.

No matter the level, it means a lot to the child. Graduation is an important part of growing up. To a son, it is a day that propels him into maturity. This mom writes a letter to her son as he gets ready for his high school graduation. This week our firstborn child got measured for the cap and gown for his high school graduation.


You will soon be flying out of the nest and into your future. As you travel down the road of life, please remember these words-To be happy and successful in life, you need to believe in yourself and have the self-confidence to make the right decisions. Today is your graduation day.


Everyone makes some wrong turns on the road of life. I’m not sure you truly grasp the depth of His love for you, but I pray you will one day because it is far greater than anything you could ever imagine. To My Son , You came into our lives that January day , all wrinkled and full of hope.


Now, as you prepare to embark on a new journey–your own journey–I’d. Some parents will dab tears. Others will be elbowing their way to a prime position in order to take a photo with their zoom lens. Dear Son : Where to begin? This is a real letter I wrote to my daughter.

BTW: “Lolo” is her. The son whom they taught to take the first baby step. I will be there watching and yelling “Mikey C. With great pride and much love, Dad. Congratulations on your graduation and have fun on all of your future adventures. Fun graduation congratulations card for your step son.


As your dad and I fade into the background of your life I want to tell you it has been a privilege to have you as our son. Where has the time gone I keep asking myself? As I reflect back it seems as though time moved so slowly as I watched you go from a newborn to a young man.


From the day you were born, you captured our hearts with an infectious smile that soon developed into the warmest hug. I wanted to write you a little note to tell you a few things! First of all, I am so grateful to be your stepmom.


You have brought so much into my life.
